Trouble with Avast......

When Avast anti virus tries to update I keep getting a red pop up box saying an error occurred while trying to connect to the server, and when I click on said box to get more info, this is the message box I get......

I recently installed comodo firewall but it was still working after that, but I have not installed anything else that may have caused this, if anyone can help it would be muchly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Maybe virus ninjas are preparing an attack!

    Ping it from dos and see if you can get to it.

    Start-> Run = CMD.

    Yes it says....

    - Vps: Already up to date
    (current version 000751-0)

    Guess I'll just have to wait until Avast is ready to update again to see if I get the red error pop up or not.
