Hi all, I’ve got an issue that’s driving me up the wall. Every time I play a video file, after about 30 seconds to a min the whole system freezes and will not unlock, it happens weather it’s in winamp, media player or within a game. At first I thought it was the Video drivers, but after downloading the latest set from NVIDIA, it still happens. Next I thought it may be the GPU overheating (the systems in a Perspex box) so off came the side for a test run and it still froze.
During the 2nd test I had the task manager up displaying performance with the “Show Kernel Times” option enabled and when the system froze the red line indicating the kernel times spiked to 100% usage on both cores, after which the system did its freeze thing again.
Being the relative n00b that I am, is anyone able to shed a little light on the situation?
