    Hi HisChild,

Can I ask if these logs are from your computer?

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

    Hi,

Well no, they're of a friend o' mine who's computer understanding is rather close to zero so i will be doing the maintance on her computer. This is also the reason for posting.

Please note, this is windows vista. Please let me know if you got experience in removing malware from here.

Will come back to you once vundofix has been run.

    Regards

OK, that's fine. Thanks for letting me know. :)

I have not used Vista as yet, so I am hoping any Tools we use will work and that you will correct me, if needed.

    Hello Trogan,

I have run vundofix, although it had to be run as an admin. Fortunately it did ask for that itself, so no worries there. It found one file, which was removed on reboot.

HJT was a bigger problem, as it had to be ran as an admin, though it didn't ask for it. So it was a matter of rightclicking and run as administrator.

    Here's my new HJT log.

    Hi HisChild,

The fixes will need to be done on a account that has Administrative powers.

Also, it makes the HijackThis log very hard to read when you wrap Code tags around it. As you can see, I have removed the tags from your post. Please just post the logs as they are.

Please post the VundoFix.txt --> C:\VundoFix.txt <-- and then we can continue. :)

    Hello Trogan,

Sorry for my code tags, I will let those out from now on. I did put them on because it keeps it a bit more tidy to my standards, but as you are the one helping me, i will confirm to your standards.

    Here is the vundofix log.

    VundoFix V6.5.4

    Listing files found while scanning....

    C:\windows\system32\mljihif.dll

    Beginning removal...

I noted that java is out of date. Please let me know where to update it.
    Thanks for your help.
