Microsoft has jumped head-first into the console market and has increased the Xbox 360's warranty by another two years. Initially, the console shipped with an insignificant 90-day warranty, but a problem known as the red ring of death surfaced soon after launch, prompting a warranty bump to 1 year. But again, after massive repairs and issues, the company once again has bumped coverage another 2 years, and is offering refunds to owners who have paid for repairs.

This is a huge undertaking by Microsoft and I applaud them for it. A rounded rough figure of $1 billion dollars is being invested into this and it is something gamers will take note of. Links for refunds or instructions have not been posted yet, but we will provide you with that information when it is released.
