live msn webcam problem

ok im using windows vista premium

just installed live msn yesterday and run it... jumped on the webcam and chat away with friends!

now trying to run it again today, msn says: 
can't use cam, cam might be in use or not plugged in
i'm using a dv6000 laptop and the webcam is with the laptop, has anyone come across this problem before?
