I'm pretty sure not, but 2 guys were telling me I'm fine with it. It's good ram, OCZ platinum ddr2-800mhz, but I still don't think it'll work with the new quad core's.

Do I need new ram, or not?

Why do you think it will not work?

    The C2Q uses DDR800.

It will work perfectly fine together.

I'm just waiting for the price drop to order me a Q6600 myself.

I thought it wouldn't because of the 2 different fsb speeds, 1066 and 800.

Just like DDR400 it will run, but youโ€™re just not getting full potential... I am willing to bet you might be able to OC that memory to almosy 1066 :)

The native memory platform for the C2Q is DDR2-800. It is not a 1:1 CPU:FSB. It uses dividers.

    That makes more sense now.
