Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops:CONFUSION

I wouldn't normally come on here to ask for help on a PSP game but you guys are my only hope...

I've got MGS PO. I've completed it and I'm doing it all over again. But I want some extra charachters. I got Raikov, Sigint and Para-medic but I want to get Ocelot and EVA. NO IDEA HOW TO GET THEM. I've looked all over the internet but i only ever find the codes, and I've got the EU version that doesn't accept many codes. I know there is a legitimate way to get these characters but just don't know what. Any help?

Hey, does anybody have a clue on how to defeat boss rush on the EU version? Man, thats hard.
