Wireless USB?! - Media Center help

OK I may have mentioned this before, I cant remember... however, I'm still trying to find a solution.

I have a HDD inside a media enclosuer - this allows me to play divx and mp3 - i connect it to my TV and as it has a remote control it needs to be near my tv.

To get content on this at present I use a 10m usb cable and run it back to my pc in a different room - clearly this is far from ideal - but works...

Is there some kinda wireless usb thing - where id plug something in to the end of the usb cable slot on the media hdd and something on my pc?

Otherwise i guess im still stuck with my 10m cable :(

The industry buzzed about wireless USB connectivity for about 35 seconds in 2004. I was hoping, at the time, that it would become a new standard fro peripheral connectivity, perhaps even pushing out Bluetooth. However, as far as I know, it has never surfaced in the consumer market.

edit: Here's an old article about it: http://www.deviceforge.com/articles/AT9015145687.html

I'd seen that stuff before - but I couldnt actually find anything available that would do it - just wireless usb for networking stuff - which i guess would not do the job as its a different task
