I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 07682CU Laptop.

Specs:

Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz
1.5GB Ram
100GB HD
GeForce GO 7300 128MB
15.4" display

6 cel Li-ion battery (standard)

I currently using it off the wall plug. The battery life just jumped from 80% to 60% in the last 15 minutes...

I think my battery is going bad,but I have always had problems with it lasting a while on battery only Any suggestions?

NOTE: while typing this it jumpe from 60% to 4%

Yep, stick a fork in your battery; it's done. :(

You will need to buy a new battery for your laptop in order to work away from a receptacle I'm afraid. As far as maximizing battery life, be sure it's set to portable/laptop in the power options. And make the screen go blank and hard drive spin down fairly quickly when running on battery too.

battery's dead, but blow out the cooling anyway - it makes a difference. If not that much now, then when you get the new battery.
