I got them from realplayer, So if I can't make them into mp3 I just won't
    buy from them anymore

I don't know if "can't be done" is the way to put it. I haven't looked into it, it may be possible, but not discussable here @ IC.

ok I didn't know I was trying to do something that wasn't allowed.
Just trying to make some songs to play in other things other than
    realplayer.

But thanks for the feed back :)

No matter what the DMCA says. It's 'fair use' to make back-up copies of the material you purchased.

Can you write the music files to a music CD? If so, then you can just rip it to MP3 afterward.

While it is "fair use" to make backup copies, it is illegal under the DMCA to circumvent copy protection... Yes people, this is our government at work. We have only ourselves to blame.

Prime is right. It is illegal to remove any DRM through any means, regardless of intent. DMCA anti-circumvention clause says so.

But it's not removal of anything. There is no DRM in place to stop him from making a music CD for backup purposes, and there is no DRM in place to stop him from making a back-up of that CD by ripping it. Not circumventing anything at all...
