Just ordered refurb AIW 9800 pro
Well, since my Gigabyte 9700 pro's fan packed it in and zorched the gpu a couple of months ago, I finally got around to rma'ing it back to Newegg last time in. While I was out on the rig and away from where I could get email, they sent a reply back giving me a choice of replying in the affirmative for an even swap for the Powercolor 9800 Pro or if I didn't respond in 3 working days, they were going to credit my cc $280. Since I was out and couldn't respond, they gave the cc credit.:bawling:
Anyways, I was looking around in their refurbs and ran across the AIW 9800 Pro for $280.50, so I decided to try it out. I know it will most probably be a bare card with no cables, but I don't have any real use for the tv part of the AIW right now anyways and the cheapest regular 9800 Pro is over $300.
Anyone here bought refurb vid cards from Newegg? If so, how were they? I read the thread that EQ had up about the trash 4200 he sent back; I'm looking for other peep's experiences.:)

I know for fact that some of these people abused the system (they even brag about it online) and unfortunately, some of us suffer the consecuences.
Aside from my screwup on install, the card seems just fine. No anomolies either on the card itself (evidence of tampering) or any video qualities that look bad. Hopefully this card will stay running well.
Another question, which utility is the best for overclocking with?
