HDD speed...

edited July 2007 in Hardware
Ok so my current build I have a spiffy little WD 10k RPM HDD connected via SATA and I've loved it for the year or so that I have had it. I could actually tell the difference from IDE @ 7200 RPM.

The question I have is... If I connect an IDE100 (maybe IDE133) 7200 RPM w/ 8mb buffer to my computer, will I experience much of a slow down?

The reason I am asking is because my server (aka main computer before new one) finally died (hey it was dying for almost 2 years) and it stored most of my music, rarely used files, etc. But since it bit the dust, I want to plug the HDD I was using into my main computer. Remember that I will not be running any programs off of this HDD, just occasionally using the music files.
