Hard Drive crash? Help blub blub blub

Hi guys, I'm new to Icrontic but everyone seems so cool. My pc had some sort of instability and then went to a blue screen and started to memory dump. Stupid me I didn't wait for it to finish and forced the computer to power down and now when I start the pc (xp pro) it says: Boot failure: System Halted. what can I do to save my HD? Thanks soooooooo much.:eek:

    The harddrive shows up on the Setup as IDE Master but doesn't exist on the boot devise priority menu !!??

    It's possible that your boot tables got screwed up.

    Boot up with your windows cd and go into recovery console and run the fixboot command.
