System Conflicts?

hey guys,

long story short, i bought an acer laptop with macaffee already installed, but for want of a better word it turned out crap, so i recently downloaded a virus protection program called "kaspersky"

i can go through the entire installation process without any hitch, and even past the part that asks me to remove macaffee because kaspersky isnt compatible, but when ive restarted my computer it refuses to let me past the windows log on screen.

twice ive managed to log onto my account, but windows freezes and i have to turn the computer off manually...

3 system restores later and several safe mode checks to see if my laptop isnt messed up, i am completly confused..

any ideas of whats happening?

    Run the McAfee Removal tool, and then try installing Kaspersky again.
