Borked my OE

Changed some registry settings a couple of days ago and forgot to reboot. Now I rebooted and forget what registry changes I made. Feel free to flame liberally.:banghead: :werr:;D

IN ANY CASE, I use Outlook Express for email (flame again). When I started it up, it told me it couldn't find the exe and asked 'where'. I pointed it to C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe. Oops. Now I get an error message 'OE could not be started, unable to open OE message store, computer may be out of memory or disk full' ((neither is true)) with error code 0x807007E,126. Also tells me MSOE dll could not be initialized.

Tried to change the .exe by hitting properties from the launch bar, but that's not an option. Last save is about a month old (another fine flaming opportunity, don't waste em!!@!):bawling: and have some moderately, tho not life threateningly, critical stuff in there since that time.

Any suggestions?

    Go to microsofts download page
    Search for IE6
    Download and install it
Tell it to reinstall everything, and that should fix the problem as it will reinstall OE as well.

Ended up (reluctantly) using a system restore point from 11/11. Havent had time to look around and see what tweaks I may have lost but have all my email.

Thx for the sugg Manc, but after trying 3 X and being denied "there's a more up to date version on the system, set up is exiting" I gave up trying to reinstall everything. ty M$ not
