Ending petty squabbling with Microsoft over URIs and fixing some flaws revealed by security firm Secunia, FF 2.0.0.6 is in the wild. Not much to be said about the release, as it's just a bug-fixing patch, but it's always worth keeping your software up to date.

Thanks to forum-goer Thelemech for the tip: Here.

I would like to see Firefox get back to it roots, when it was fast and snappy... they have so much junk now!

As a web developer... Firefox + extensions = bliss. I don't know where I'd be without Web Developer, Firebug, and Colorzilla, let alone the del.icio.us, Foxmarks, Gspace, FireFTP, and Google Notebook extensions. Oh it's glorious.

Firefox is amazing. I'd impregnate it, were it that I liked foxes... And browsers.. And-- okay, forget it.

Has anyone tried Safari lately? I hear it's supposed to be faster. Come to think of it, that's why I switched to Firefox in the first place - cleaner, faster, tabs...even more secure. Now it's gone pretty mainstream but tbh I can't really tell the difference from when it was released.

One of my co workers uses it and likes it better than firefox. He said it is faster. I should give it a try

Safari is "Faster" than Firefox because the browser cheats java/XHTML standards. I personally cannot abide its gaudy interface which doesn't match, er, anything else.

....being the exact reasons the developers/marketing department at Apple tagged all those words to it when it was first released(let us recreate the past)!!
