Funded by AMD and powered by the ERS Group, the study claims that for the elapsed time between 1996 and 2006, Intel illegally pocketed $60bn in revenue due to anti-trust practices. The study also concluded that the computer industry could shave $20bn off of expenses, and generate an additional $80bn in gross revenue just by undoing Intel's noodly stranglehold. The figures were derived from the anti-trust case settled in Japan in favor of AMD, and the allegations put forth by the European Commission in their recent statement of objections.

Ultimately, however, Intel may have said it best: "The only thing one can conclude from this study is that if you pay someone enough money you can get them to say almost anything."

The proceedings for this case are expected to conclude in 2000-never, after the western seaboard is razed to create the paperwork.
