    The Z-640's are ok if you're not going to be playing them insanely loud.
    The overall sound's not too shabby and they are a decent value, they sure sound better than the comparable creative sets do.

    Yes, it's got some real spiffy reviews. Considering the pice I think i'm going to have a hard time passing this one up...

    It looks like aggod deal to me if you don't or can't spend much. The NE user reviews look promising and the only logical choice os twice the cash! The worst case would be a Christmas present for your sister. ;)

    The best part about them is I hook my console up to the speakers and get my game on! But right now i'm putting all my money into buying a new processer (Athlon XP Barton 2500+). Maybe I can snag the speakers for X-mas...

    Careful on buying a 2500 right now as the newer ones are multiplier locked. I just picked up a 26oo from Fry's and it was a week 11 and unlocked while the 2500's they had were locked.

    If the multiplier is locked, doesnt that mean that you cant overclock?

    All it means is that the multiplier is locked and you would have to do a "bridge mod" as discussed in the "Newbs OC Guid" that you read earlier.

    I dont think I'm up for any cpu modding. Ill just pay and extra $20 for 2600/2700 and then im sure I wont have to tinker with the cpu itself. Unless the models above 2500+ are locked too?

    currently they're not locked, so you might want to get one while they're still good. And if you're a first time oc'er you probably don't want to be messing with bridges, spend the extra $20 .. (which seems like a lot) and get the unlocked 2600, I wish I had :/

    Just got back from Sam's Club - they have them for $59.95.

    Get 'em right away and save a few bucks. (Assuming you have a Sam's nearby... :) )

    Just so everyone knows I don't plan on overclocking my 2500+ CPU once I get it. Overclocking is a little too complicated for me at the moment. Maybe i'll overclock it in the future when it becomes outdated and stuff.

    Sam's club has 2500+ XP's for 60 bucks?!

    Dont expect too much BASS out of those. The 560s and 680s are better.
