DDR Pin Layout Help

Now that I got a new board (NF7-S) I want to at least try to figure out what was wrong with my 8RDA. First thing's first: DDR Overvolting.

OK, a while back I was playing with Dual Channel DDR. During a run, a stick of memory died in Sandra 2003's Memory bandwidth test. System went black. The stick that fried was in SLOT 2 with another stick in SLOT 3 (Dual Channel).

After it died, the board "overvolts" memory to 3.2V (no matter what I set it in BIOS). I know this isn't a misread by the BIOS because of OC testing and such. SLOT 2 doesn't work at all, just 1 and 3.

Anyway, now that the board is out in my hands, I can see that 2 of the pins in SLOT 2 are "blown" (pushed back as if a stick of memory was inserted), however, they aren't loose.

Pins 17 & 18 we'll label them. (Counting from top right to left)

With that long introduction, I ask if anyone knows what these pins are for. I've looked and can't find a pin layout for DDR memory on Google. I have a feeling they deal with power of some sort.

The board still works beyond the Memory voltage problem and 1 other small one. It may be passed down if this is fixable. This, however, isn't that important or worth more than $10 to me. Just curiosity that's got me.

TIA :)

That's what happened to my 8KHA+ over a year and a half ago...It fried my memory in Slot 2 and overvolted like crazy.

Officially the pins I'm referering to are 166 & 167

I found an unbufferend DDR pinout and they are marked:

    Pin 166 - DQ53
"Data and Check Bit Input/Output pin."

    Pin 167 - A13
"During a Bank Activate command, A0-A13 defines row address (RA0 - RA13) when sampled at the rising clock edge."

... worthless cause for me ...

I'll just sell it and the RAM to my brother or someone for the cost of some DDR 3500 + to go along with this NF7-S :D

If anyone wants the DDR pinouts.. below. You'll have to find the meaning of the symbols yourself. (Google "ddr pinouts")
