Toshiba 2410 Laptop, compatible mobos
Folks,
I've a Toshiba Satellite Pro 2410 (S2410-304). Specs are below.
While I can see the battery is charging when plugged in (light is green), nothing happens when either pressing or holding the power button.
Tried several diagnostic steps (disassembly/reassembly, disconnected screen and inverter, changed out memory, tried to boot without HDD installed), but could never get even the fans to start running. I even checked the surface mount fuses, which conduct fine. My guess is duff motherboard (on board controller, or something like that).
Getting a like for like mobo replacement is pretty expensive. The outer case of several Tosh models are identical (1400, 1410, 1415, 1430, 2400, 2410, 2415, 2430, etc.).
Does anyone know if they're all compatible and whether my 1.9 GHz CPU will work in them? Or better yet, does anyone know where I can find such information? If I can cast a wider net, I have a better chance of getting a cheaper replacement mobo.
