ISP disconnectes when using IRC

Until recently I would use Mirc to download anything from images to videos etc. Recently I think my isp has been disconnecting me and not allowing me to reconnect for around 10-15 minutes whenever I use Mirc to download anything. When using any other apps (eg P2P apps) all is fine.

Any workaround for this ?

    Read their terms of use and wikipedia article.

    If that fails call tech support.

    Im pretty sure they have enabled this to stop people downloading illegal files. My problem is, its not file type specific... download a k jpeg and I get disconnected. More interested in a work around if anyone has any ideas ?

    Contact your isp or read there wiki article it there article will likely mention it and if it doesnt there support will know if they do or not.
