Solid state storage is gaining popularity, or at least there is a buzz building around it. It offers low power consumption, blazing fast speed, and a minimal footprint, but is cost prohibitive for most and doesn't offer large storage capacities. If you want 500GB of 'Bible music," most users will sacrifice instant access and stick with sATA for now.

But, things are changing. Storage capacities are going up, and prices will come down. Rumours abound regarding which laptop manufacturer will include solid state storage in their next offering. And early adopters are ready to buy what can be considered cutting-edge technology. Custom PC has reviewed seven drives and given their take on which ones are worth your had earned. Samsung's 32GB Solid State Disk(SSD) Flash Disk came in on top, but it didn't win hands down. Follow the link and read why.
