Civ4 Multiplayer?
I'm going to be starting a PTBS server up soon running the Final Frontier MOD for Civilization 4 BtS. If anyone is interested in playing, let me know, and I'll include you on the roster.
If you're not familiar with PTBS, it's a way for Civ4 players to get in epic multiplayer games without sitting in one place for 8 days straight, or having to e-mail save-games around. Basically: I host the game on my system, and all of the players (including me) can log in once or twice per day to take their next turn.
I know at least a few of you like Civilization games, and this is a really nice, well polished variant.

I'll post a link to th sign-up and discussion board when it's ready (hopefully soon)
As host, I get to set the turn timer length.
Players can log into the game at any time to manage their civ, but they can only move units (and production and stuff only increases) once per timer. If you fail to log in during one of the turns, all of your automated stuff (like production, science, and go-to commands) will still be carried out as the timer rolls over, so you don't necessarily have to log in for every turn. However, if everyone has logged in and finished their turn actions before the timer runs down, the next turn begins immediately.
I'll be setting the timer for 24 hours. It's standard to expect people to log in once a day.
I play in five different games right now, and I just play all my turns at the same time each day (usually right before bed). Some of the players check the timers all day long, and play each turn right when it comes available, but my schedule doesn't allow for that kind of dedication. If I end up missing a turn once in awhile due to a timer fluke, I don't worry about it, because I keep most of my actions automated anyway.
I'm gonna start this game on Wednesday, barring malfunction.
I'll be putting up a test server on Sunday, so that everyone can test their connection to me, and to make sure I remember how this stuff works.
There are still as many as four player slots open (because it looks like three of the current players will drop), so if anyone else is interested, sign up before Wednesday (and pick a freekin' civ ).
Also, will the server info be posted in that thread, or will you PM it out?
