Altec Lansing Suckage

edited August 2007 in Science & Tech
I use an HP zv6000 series laptop. I have managed to work around many of the system's innumerable inadequacies, but one still seems irreparable.

When there is a large amount of audio stress on the system, it often gives out, and sounds become delayed and unclear, and they stutter terribly. The strange part is this distortion only occurs in games, and in windows sounds, If WMP is playing in the background, it sounds perfectly normal; which leads me to believe this is a software problem, and not a hardware one. I have updated the drivers, to no avail.

You kn ow I am starting to think HP just used the Altec Lansing name... and not there actual speakers int heir lower class systems. As the dv9000 series has far better sound quality than the 6000 series.
