Driver update enables hardware vertex shading on Intel G965

Those poor folks stuck with integrated Intel G965 graphics should rejoice at this news - <a href="http://blogs.intel.com/technology/2007/08/gaming_on_integrated_graphics.html#more">Intel has finally written drivers</a> that enable hardware vertex shading instead of relying on the CPU to perform the duty.

Intel always billed the G965 as "ready for casual gamers" but we knew better. On top of poor performance in most games, some games, such as Battlefield 2, wouldn't even run. Finally, those who have low end computers can have some fun for a change. XP drivers are ready to go with Vista drivers soon to follow.

    Instead of a garbage GPU that people can't play anything on, they can now delude themselves into thinking the garbage GPU can do something!
