My sound card, sound blaster augdigy mp3+, front speakers port is fried. I tested headphones in it and they did not work. I also put the front speakers in the rear speakers port and they worked. I also installed new drivers which did not do the trick. What do you guys think the problem is? And if there is anything I can do to find the problem.

Try the card in another PCI slot, but I doubt it will do anything.

You could have broken a solder joint on the card (contraction and expansion from use) or one of the onboard components could have failed.

It's quite possible you will need a new sound card...

If it were me (and the card was out of warrenty) I'd either test/resolder the socket, or replace the socket itself if neccessary.

You could probably get it repaired at an electronics store (a real one, not radio shack or whatever) for under $10 if it's a broken solder joint.
