My friend has been getting weird emails and IMs through her yahoo account that describe what she has been doing online..
she says she has a firewall..Zonealarm Pro security suite,
What can she do to block someone that is doing this sort of thing??

I had a client who had a stalker. He knew where she was going and what she was doing, who she was dating. I finally went into her web mail with her beside me and found that he had set her account so that all emails forwarded to him.
    1. Don't type her password, we're not interested but....please tell me it's not the name of her cat, the street she grew up on, etc. I can't tell you how many times an email account has been hacked by a password that is just too easy to guess. My nephew used the name of his dog. A friend of his figured it out.
    2. Tell her to change her password, some combination of letters and numbers that could never be found in a dictionary. There are programs that will just run through the dictionary till they get a login.
    3. Furthermore, many email accounts have a secret question. Is the answer to her secret question her mother's maiden name? Lots of people know that answer.
Most email addresses, it is no secret at all how to get to a web mail interface where I already know the user name. In her situation, the password really matters.
