Connecting to Server 1.0.0.0, Error Page comes up

When I open my IE, which google.com is my home page, it says Connecting to Server 1.0.0.0 then error page comes up about 50% of the time. I followed direction from postings and downloaded hijackthis program and ran it and saved log. Now it says to post it. please Help someone.
