Helped a buddy with his new amd64 4800 x2.

slapped it together and is worked fine.... bios temps and voltages are good etc...

Will not install windows....

Doc memory or memtest fails. So I mess around and check the memory with docmemory....

left it running overnight.....

it was on run 57... (long sign.....) It had failed 56 out of 57 runs.......

usually that the MB or the ram......

I did not have a cpu or ram to swap in,

So I put in my spare Antec 550 truepower I had sitting here and the S.O.B works perfect......

Lord usually if memtest/docmemory fails its EITHER the MB or the RAM.

Bad voltage to the memory? do you still suspect the mobo or do you really think that it is the PSU? It would be interesting to monitor and see what is actually happening with mem voltage.

My DFI board does that. It's the pickiest board I've ever used when it comes to PSUs.

Voltage looks PERFECT in the bios. Everything looks cool.

Windows will NOT install.... differant errors but goes deep in the XP install !!!

    New MB/CPU/Ram

phucking swapping the psu did it...

I have been doing this a very long time. Built thousands of PC's.

But I NEVER expected psu on this one to be honest, This one smelled like a bad stick of ram or MB !!!

    You just never know!! LOL!
