What mousepad would you recommend for this beast?

Well, one of the benefits of the infrared sensor is increased reliability on any surface - normally I've been using just my faux-wood desktop, but recently I threw a generic cloth mousepad down because I prefer the slightly "rougher" feel of the feet on the cloth rather than the slippery desk. Accuracy hasn't changed at all, though.

I thought that was a "personal lubricant". ;D

Isn't it great? Honestly, it has helped improve my fps game - for the first time ever I'm coming in first place on my team in team deathmatch games, etc.

having used both Razer's DeathAdder and Logitech's offerings I still prefer my G5 for gaming.

The DeathAdder just fits my hand better than any other mouse I've used. The logitechs have the weird ridge on the right side that bugs the crap out of me.

Follow up almost two years later:

I'm still using this mouse as my one-and-only. <3
