edited September 2007 in Hardware
i have a dell inspirion 4100, and my friends dog who i was house sitting knocked it over, and now my battery won't charge. it seems when i put the cord in it, it's loose, like it's not held together anymore. i've tryed taking this damn computer apart and i can't seem to get to the area of the charger input. any suggestions?

Ouch. Contact dell for a local affiliated servicing store. Hopefully there is one by you. If not you can try a pc repair shop. If you personally can't access the area, it might be time to see if a professional can help you out. Oh yeah and your friends dog might benefit from some obedience training. Usually electric connections need replacing in a case like yours.

As much as that sucks I agree with Bad_Karma, if you took it apart and can't fix it yourself, it is time to bring it to someone who can.
