Wow, 99 achievements in a single Xbox 360 game is a record. A site called "Daking240.com" claims to have insider info on the achievements and what they are worth.

Some of those are pretty lame - like:

Partygoer
Make the correct party escort submission position decision.

Huh?

Some of them look quite difficult, such as:

The One Free Bullet
Beat Episode One firing exactly one bullet. Grenade, crowbar, rocket, and Gravgun kills are okay!

Sounds fun, and it's worth 40g

This begs the question: Do the achievements add value to the game? To be perfectly honest, I love the achievement system. It really adds a whole new dimension to the game as you find yourself paying more attention to things you sometimes miss on a "blow through and win" type of gaming session. You need to be a lot more mindful of what you're doing in order to hunt down certain achievements.

It would be great if eventually 3rd party games started supporting achievements in the Windows version of Xbox Live.

I agreee with you on the achievements. I've definitely gotten more play-time out of my 360 games than I would have otherwise.
