I need to run chkdisc, windows told me so, but where is it?
I typed it in the run box, windows had never heard of it. I looked in system tools, no sign of it there either.
what do I do?
dos window or start-run... chkdsk ... with an optional /f if you want it to automatically fix stuff that it finds ... depending on your OS, it may have to run at the next system start ...
That's what I did and windows wouldn't fnd it.
Then I read your reply, Doh! I had typed 'chkdisc'
Done it, run it. Thanks Mondi, bothered is at the 'swallow your pride and get a pair of glasses' stage.

After 40+ years of better than 20/20 vision, I am facing the same thing. (Unless my arms start to grow - I have to hold stuff far away to see it).
chkdisc - isn't that what they do at the Chiropractor?
