windows vista

I got a new computer, i havent turned it on yet LOL.

What should i know about windows vista before I get started.

Im comming from windows 98se havent been on xp but a few times

What are the must have downloads for security that work with vista

Im finding it hard to part with my 98 i love the operating system but this dino is ready for the the trash.

does vista have any problems i should know of?

any help before for i get started would be appreciated. :confused::rolleyes2:sad2:

    First off the jump from 98 to Vista will be huge. Most items are located in totally different spots, so don't panic when you can't find something right away :)

    As for must have downloads, make sure to run windows update and it will snag all the files you need.

    Vista is about as far removed from Windows 98 as you can get. Stay calm and use the "Help" features to get you around. There are a ton of things that you've never seen before but after you get accustom to Vista, you'll never go back. :thumbsup:

    FYI... getting accustom to Vista may take a few to many months. :D
