Microsoft today announced the impending release of Ninja Gaiden 2.

With Wolverine-style blades on his hands and even feet, Ryu looks ready to kick ass and take names - especially in light of the new engine that was developed for the game.

Being that the release is actually published by Microsoft, chances are pretty much slim to none that this will be a cross platform game - so don't expect a PS3 version.

Perhaps with auto-heal (another new feature), the game won't be quite so maddeningly hard as the original.
