winxp autologin

when i start windows xp i have to click on my useraccount (admin) to enter... its the only account (i've disabled guest)

in control panel/user accounts i also have an asp.net account which i don't know what is its purpose...

    you can disable the ASP.net user account unless you do ASP.net development work on that machine. You will then begin to login automatically. You can also use the MS Powertoy TweakUI to change which account logs in automatically amoung many other tweaks.

    there's no disable option for the asp.net account! do i just delete it?

    START> RUN> control userpasswords2

    That should bring up the hidden control window. Check the "Users must enter a password to use computer" and click "APPLY". Then uncheck the "Users must enter a password to use computer" and click "APPLY". It should ash you which user account and password (twice) and that's it. It should auto login to that account on restart. Cool?

    so removing other accounts doesn't affect my OS operation right? just don't wanna remove something that i'll regret later...

    It could... the .NET account is fine to delete. I would NOT delete any others. Just make sure the guest account is disabled.
