vista lost my dvd player
new computer
vista home basic
dvd player was working
now vista has lost it out of explorer so its no longer listed in my computer. and does not run on placing a dvd in the driver the light blinks as if its wanting to work but the it stops.
i checked the device manager and it says the driver is either missing or corrupt error (39)
im dealing with hp and its like dealing with a bunch of monkeys. I told them I had vista and they sent me a fix for xp GRR
not sure i have this in the correct forum but im looking for any ideas as to what would cause this.
