I know the excitement about Team Fortress 2 has just reached a fever pitch, and will probably continue to do so after the retail launch on October 10th, but let's not forget that UT3 is coming.

I'm really excited about UT3 - Icrontic LAN 08 is going to be busy!

I played a round of Halo 3 deathmatch last night and .. it just feels SO SLOW compared to what I'm used to in UT2k4. Even Half Life 2 deathmatch and Team Fortress 2 are much slower paced (although you die very quickly in TF2 if the opposing team is playing good offense!). I just can't imagine playing a game as fast as UT on analog sticks with a playstation 3 or xbox 360. How on earth could you do a double wall jump, flip around 180 in the air, do a shock combo with perfect precision, and then turn back around, swap to the flak cannon and nail another enemy in the face before you even land?

It should be painful to witness.

If it was on the Wii, you'd just shake Wiimote at the screen. Headshot!

    UT2K8 + TF2 = 100% ballin' LAN party.

UT3 will be on my system when I can get my paws on it :)

I could definitely play ut2k4 on the wii. Metroid Prime 3 has change my whole perspective of the potential for the screen pointer method of aiming. This is the whole reason I'm "meh" about Halo 3 until it comes out on the PC. I just cannot stand playing FPSes with analog sticks.

I loved Halo 1 on windows. Halo 2 just came out as far as I'm concerned - and it will be (probably) years before Halo3 is out for Windows.

I have no desire to play anything in the Unreal or Halo franchises now that TF2 exists.

If it doesn't offer multiple classes, I'm no longer interested :/

You could consider different weapons in the UT games to be different classes.... :ninja:

Switch to rocket launcher - you're a demoman. Switch to flak cannon, you're a scout.... etc... :p

I'm with ya Brian, I have always loved the UT series, and have been waiting for my next fix of it for a very long time. TF2 is actually close enough to have eased my twitch, but I'll still get it ASAP.
