Just so you all know the spray has to be 256 X 256 pixels for it to work properly.
I tried to edit and add that to the instructions, but for some reason I have no edit button to my threads. And where is our TF2 forum for team member tips & tricks / tutorials?
Thnx GH,
I worked on each one for a little while to get them right.
Glad you liked them...
I was also trying to make sure I got IC in the spray.
Maybe interest some in visiting... The very least --Let them know who we are...
I used Hawk's guide and got a spray to load. The only difference in my installation was that I used the Paint.NET VTF Plug-in by the same developer as the VTFEdit program. That way I just did a save-as in Paint.NET to get my VTF file.
now we can just link it in the game when someone asks ya how to do it.
Hey! That's great! Thnx for pointing me to it fatcat!
And Thnx Buddy J for settin it up!
Now while I'm in-game, how do I get the link to those who ask?
Open the link in firefox and copy the addy to the team chat type on the game?
I guess I could save the link somewhere on my pc and just copy it from there to the team chat type window.
I always use the voice chat, so I'm not used to using the type chat.
GH, That's cool too. I was looking around for a program that would convert the jpeg, gif or whatever pics to the VTF format. Found a couple but they were so confusing that I just used HL2 DM to import the pic which changes it to VTF and copied the VGUI folder to Team Fortress 2's materials folder.
But it's good to know. How easy was it to do?
A little battle instruction poster posted by the front door in 2 Forts so everyone understands the technique.
Sorry CB and those others that are medics in TF2.
But we just gotta drill it into their heads for them to understand it.
As far as the VTF through Paint.NET it was really easy. The add-in lets you select any VTF options you want during the Save As, and I selected allow alpha channel. Aside from that, I followed your instructions exactly and they worked.
Sorry, I googled it and came up with this on one of the reviews of TF2..
The two teams are the Red (Reliable Excavation Demolition) team, and the Blu (Builders League United) team.
So, That is not the makers of the map... lol

Not sure who they are...but they put their moniker on their maps.
I've seen it on others.
