so obviously you can run dual-ddr mode with dimms 1&3 or dimms 2&4 filled. but can you still run some kind of dual-ddr with all 4 dimms filled? i only ask because i notice the nforce boards have 3 dimms to prevent this from happening, so i never thought it possible. but all the intel boards have an even #...

I would think you can have all 4 slots filled on the Intel boards. Or all 6 like on the Epox board.

As long as you run the memory in pairs Dual Channel mode will be enabled.

On NF2 mobos, which only have 3 memory slots, Dual channel mode will still operate if all three mem sticks are the same size (and rated speed)

Theoretically, it gives you twice as much memory bandwidth.

It's like RAID 0 for RAM.

Dual channel on the nf2 chipset really doesn't give you that much of an increase however, not like on the intel motherboards.
