computer monitoring

hello

i just wanted to know about computer monitoring and msn monitoring. can msn monitoring be installed remotely from another computer? i basicly just wanted to know how that program works and if it could be installed from another computer or has to be installed on that specific computer. also i want to know if you could block that monitoring.
