{IC} Stats: Operating Systems

I was just reading an interesting (if slightly sensationalist) Inq story about Vista uptake based on viewership stats, so I thought I'd delve into Icrontic's stats.
Over the last month, 94.7% of Icrontic's traffic has been from Windows systems, and about 2.5% each from Mac and Linux. Of the Windows traffic, 82.7% of it is Windows XP, 12% is Vista, and 2.8% is 2000.

IE is 53.5% for v7 and 46.1% for v6.
Of course, 98% of FF traffic is v2 or higher, with 2.0.0.7 logging 51.4% and 2.0.0.6 logging 38.2%.
As an aside, when designing the site, I check it in Firefox, IE6, and IE7 for pixel-by-pixel detail. I periodically check Opera and Safari for major issues.
Firefox: 924 visits
IE: 895 visits
Intriguing - perhaps influenced by the helpers. So, I went and found the most popular SVR thread
Firefox: 814 visits
IE: 753 visits
Looks like we have more FF people in the SVR forum; what their motives for being there are, Google Analytics cannot divine.
That, detective, is the right question.

Our IT guys are only upgrading users to XP pro if your machine craps out...tempting, sooo tempting.
