Can I change it to a 133fsb part? Can I get more than the 64KB L-2 out of it? I am willing to try anything as I just found it laying around in my old parts box and if it goes pooft, no biggie.
You can donate it to me for a folding computer !!!

GnomeWizardd had this to say You can donate it to me for a folding computer !!!
I would but I'm also trying to see if I can get it up to something more to put in my step-son's computer since he has no money and neither do I. Otherwise it would have been offered as a team donation already.
You can try just overclocking the FSB to 133 (just tell the bios it has a 133 fsb, you wouldn't need to mod the CPU)...some of the morgan core durons can run like that, depending on what their multiplier is.
Mine runs great at 133 fsb, but not at the stock multiplier. I ran my 1000 Duron at 8.5 x 133 usually, sometimes 9x133 (there was one program that didn't like it that fast, I think it was only 3dmark).
Morgan core is only made in 64kb of cache but the newer Duron is actually a Tbred B with a crippled cache which you can easily mod to a full feathered Tbred B. Reports shows that those overclocks like kings as well. I have seen several over 2.5 gigs with fill tbred cache enabled. If you have the old one, bin it. Not worth the effort.

OK, so it looks like I can probable OC this one pretty well but no extra L-2. That will have to work for him for now or till he sucks up some more.
