Computer is driving me mad! Trojans and spyware and pop ups oh my! HELP!!!

I have no clue what else to do. I have tried everything to rid my computer of this infection. Every two seconds an ad pops up (in a full screen IE window, no less), and every five seconds, I have a yellow bubble at the lower tight corner telling me of system alerts. If I click on it, it downlads a trojan, which my Avast picks up. So, Ive run about everything I can find to remove this mess, and they all find on average 60 malware, spyware and trojans, but nothing is getting rid of this! Where do I start and what do I do? Please help!

Hi Simon, and welcome to Icrontic.

    Please do the following...

    1. Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
    http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

    2. Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
    • Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
    • Click on Install.
    • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
    • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
    • Save the log to a convenient location as you'll need to post it soon.
    • Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
    • Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

    3. Please post the SmitfraudFix log, along with the HijackThis log.
