    Hi rulsinDand welcome to Icrontic Spyware & Virus Removal

    Step 1 RENAME HIJACKTHIS

    Using Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore navigate to: C:\Documents and Settings\Sergei\My Documents\hijackthis_199\HijackThis.exe
    Right-click on HijackThis.exe & select Rename to scanner.exe

    Step 2: Download and Run ComboFix Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall
  • edited October 2007
    I don't believe it took care of it in a sec. I ran ad-aware and Avast and both found a lot overall over a 1000, a bunch of them were not able to be deleted, this combo fix did that. Genius thanx. milli.dll was the main problem it seems. If you can't tell me more about what that was i'd really appreciated it.

    Here's the log file for combofix

    :)Hi rulsinDand
    You have vundo,
    Lets clean the computer...

    Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:
    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ultra.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\katzppd.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebyvwu.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\que1
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\oTt04e
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Uharc.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\U2VyZ2Vp\oZpVtZpD.vbs

    Registry::
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellExecuteHooks]
    "{BACEB7AF-8D88-456E-82D0-7BEB9A4410FE}"=-
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\gebyvwu]

    Save this as "CFScript"

    Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

    CFScript.gif

    This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.

    Hi rulsinDand

    I need latest combofix.txt
    For personal information can you tell me a little more about what vundo is
    The Vundo family of Trojans is one of the most common infections we find on user’s PC’s. The infection can cause popups which usually advertise rogue antispyware programs. Some common rogue antispyware programs that are advertised are WinFixer, SysProtect and winantispyware for example. Users are normally targeted by false positives, and warning of infection – an example of this could be popups alerting users they are infected with a blackworm virus. The most common method of infection is through outdated versions of the Sun Java platform; older versions are being exploited so it is important to firstly make sure that your Java software is fully up to date. Thankfully, the infection is relatively easy to remove, and a specialised tool has been created to remove the vundo trojan from infected computers. The following guide will explain how to use the tool, and hopefully rid your system of this malware.
  • edited October 2007
    well looks to me fixed.
    Thanks.
    I got one about a week ago that had a similar impact accept much more pop-ups, music playing from an unknown location-definatly not from my harddisk, and changed the desktop appearance that I could not revert back. Underlined all the icons on the desktop etc, had to reboot because I couldn't find a solution. Was that the same thing?
