Go to apple.com, then click store. Then on the left select Education. Select k-12 or College depending on where you or your kids go to school, find your school, then select your preferred discounted ipod. Could come in handy for christmas present time for your loved ones ;).

Note: I'm not sure how you select whether or not you want a mac ipod or windows ipod.

    you format it for OS X or Windows when you get it home... at least thats what I had to do before i could read it in Windows... so maybe it was already formatted for OS X.
