RAM Question

edited October 2007 in Hardware
Hello all,
What would offer better performance for someone looking to run 4G of RAM:
this kit- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145176
or
two of these kits- http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820227196
I've heard that using all four slots can hurt performance. Thanks for any advice.

I cant offer much advice but all i know is you can't run more than ~3g of RAM with 32bit XP/Vista. And the "upgrade" to a 64bit version to allow more ram isnt worth your performance going to crap.

So nobody has any input on whether or not using all four memory slots hurts performance, eh?

    2 sticks is better.... but..

Unless your OC'ing and good at it you will never feel the differance in ANY WAY in real life between the slight disadvantage in running all 4 sticks versus 2 sticks. Its MAINLY when you push the ram to OC. Yes in benchmarks you can see a small differance probably but not EVER in real life.

Thanks, buddy. Just the info I needed. I guess I'll go with four sticks of the ocz reaper ed. then.
