Flash player lag

Hey, for whatever reason, whenever i play any flash game, i get constant lag. it happens in both internet explorer 7 and firefox. This is a fairly new laptop, so i dont know what the problem could be. Any ideas?

    Do you get lag in anything else, like scrolling through web pages?

    with the exception of facebook sometimes, no.
