When I run defrag ever since last Tuesdays Windows Update it seems that something won't let it finish completely. I've enclosed the error dialog in case anyone can help out.

Thanks
Chris

What files are giving you the trouble in the report? Usually it's just a locked file issue and you if you make sure whatever program is accessing those files isn't running during the defrag you'll be fine. First thing to check is to make sure you have not active spy-ware running or any virus scan running at the time or an active protection program like Norton's System Suite.

There were no files in the defrag dialog when I looked but I will uninstall diskeeper and copy the log to here ...maybe I missed something. I can always reinstall diskeeper for 30 days.

I'm not seeing a problem. There are files that can't be defragmented that's normal. They are system files that can't be moved. They show up as Green in the fragmentation bar. They also usually sit around the middle of the bar. That report looks normal to me.

No idea why ...but it just decided to start working correctly again today. This is too wierd. I can't wait til SP3 rolls out to do a slipstream reinstall.
