P5DW2 Premium SATA and IDE Help please

Hi i have just built a pc from old parts from previous machines ive had i have a sata drive installed and i have just added an ide drive but im a bit unsure on how to set it up .

I ve tried a few things but its doesnt seem to be detected

specs are

P5WD2 Premium
80 gb sata maxtor diamondmax 21
160 gb ide seagate baracuda
x1900gt

    Detected in the BIOS or in win32?

    ive got the bios to detect it now but its ignoring my sata drive and trying to boot from the ide drive .

    im not sure how i get it to boot from the sata .

    the ide drive was set as a slave drive as soon as i set it to master i found it .

    If you've got a pheonix bios, advanced chipset config, boot options and just change the hard drive boot order.
